Happy New Year!

I think we have done a good job in the past year- we have reached number 71!

1. H. Guillermit and C. Ferec report a missense mutation (G91R) in exon 3 (see letter attached).

2. C.A. Graham, A.J.M. Hill, P.K.C. Goon, N.C. Nevin, G.R. Cutting and S. Curristin report a missense mutation (R297Q) in exon 7 (see attached).

3. G.R. Cutting and S. Curristin report a splice mutation (1342-1G->C) preceding exon 9 and a possible missense (I1203V) in exon 19 (see attached).

4. T. Dörk, U. Wilbrand and B. Tümmler report a frequent RFLP in front of exon 19, 3600-65 C to A (see attached).

5. A complete list of the mutations is attached (5 pages). Please note that there have been some corrections of the names and locations of a few mutations. For future updates, please send me reprints or references (paper in press, etc.) for your mutations.

6. The table containing the mutation screening data is almost completed. A preliminary copy is attached. Since the final center-by-center report is likely to contain more than 30 pages, it will be sent by regular mail.

Best regards,

Lap-Chee Tsui
